Packing More Power

Many of you have emailed after reading my tips for health and well-being, either because you have become a cacao (raw chocolate) convert, or because you are now regularly enjoying delicious smoothies, or both.

And so here is a little tip for packing more power into your diet, and into your life.

Sprouting seedsI love sprouting seeds, and equally love adding them to all our meals, salads, soups, etc.  As well as being packed with goodness, they look pretty too.  They are so easy to do, even with limited equipment, space, time and know-how.  Plus they are powerhouses of nutrients, really seeds of potential, the potential for you to eat healthily and feel great.

If you want to get a whole lot of goodness into a small compact space, then nothing does that better than a sprouted seed, or bean.

Sprouted seeds are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and enzymes.

Introducing them into your daily diet improvements general health by boosting the immune system, strengthening the body, improving digestion, and combating tiredness and stress.  Sprouted seeds are like little power packs for your body, and I am sure they help with regeneration as eating live, light foods make you feel alive with light energy.

There is plenty of info about how to get started with sprouting seeds on the internet, but all you need are some seeds, a jam jar, piece of muslin or sieve, and off you go.  Once you get into it, which I guarantee you will, there are specific bits of equipment you can buy – but really, any old jam jar and a sieve will get you going.

We are so into sprouting here that Super Seb invented an automated system out of seed trays and an old piece from a washing machine, so our seeds get washed a couple of times a day in spring water while we get on with other things.  We always have an abundance, and they are great to share with friends, and to snack on in the office.
