Building the Ark
It can be confusing when you’re a child and you see visions of the future. I used to ‘see’ the current global problems, I witnessed the Tsunami’s, earthquakes, and flooding.
These visions, though they may sound frightening from an adult perspective actually came with a sense of peaceful acceptance, a calm feeling of what would inevitably occur in order for a great shift to take place. It was clear that from this chaos a new world would be born, and future generations would shape global consciousness from a perspective of peace, love and unity – rather than greed, war and manipulation.
On a more personal level I saw that in the future I would live on higher ground, which I do – we live on the side of a hill. I used to see what was happening there too, though the images seemed like a mix of metaphor, biblical messages and real life. I couldn’t quite ‘see’, though in my child’s imagination it looked like the garden of Eden, and the building of the Ark.
Now, with hindsight I can see that yes, the lush woodland where we live is like the garden of Eden – but even funnier, when we were at a recent local planning meeting putting in our proposal to build an eco home, the planning officer looked at the plans and said to our surprise –
‘huh, it looks like an ark!’
